Honoring an enduring legacy through recognizing excellence in athletics
A MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
Due to unforeseen personal and professional demands impacting our dedicated volunteer organization, The Donald Asmonga Foundation Board of Directors has decided not to proceed with the 2026 Golf Classic. Over the next several months, the Board will be assessing various revenue generation options given limited personnel available and the intensive time and energy needed to organize events such as the Golf Classic.
Although we are taking a “Time Out” from the Golf Classic, the Foundation’s “Full Court Press” will continue. We are very proud to report that because of your generosity and our commitment to fiscal responsibility, The Donald Asmonga Foundation will continue to award the Mighty Leopard Scholarships well into the future! In the near-term, the 2026 awards will be announced at this year’s BVA sports banquet. For the longer-term, our goal is to award four student scholarships each spring and reach a total of $150,000 in scholarships at our 20-year anniversary in 2035.
The Board is incredibly grateful to the Mighty Leopard Community for its support with the Golf Classic and the unique experience of the great reunion and good will that grew from our close network of former teammates, family, and friends. This will not go away! We will honor all of you through our continuation of the scholarships and hopefully see you again in the future.
Thank you,
Board of Directors
The Donald Asmonga Foundation
